The time my aunty was robbed
Dec. 2nd, 2007 10:04 pmThings aren't looking up for my family. Got home from my friend Chloe's this morning and my Mum told me my Aunty in Malaysia house got broken in to, and some lose change and their safe was stolen. They've lost their passports, birth certificates (sell for quite a lot because people use them to be forged) and what not, though those you can get re-issued. However we've lost a heap of money. One Uncle (here in Melbourne) had $30,000 ringgit (Malaysian dollar), while another had $10,000 in there. Not to mention all my cousin's red pocket money was in there, as well as $3000 AUD one uncle had given, $1000 AUD my cousin had given, $1000 AUD my brother had given, and $1000 AUD my parents had given as gifts. Annoying parts are my Aunty was going to put a lot of it in the bank on Monday after discussing it with my Uncle Friday night. Oh yeah and there's this:
They safe was really heavy so they rolled it down the stairs and did a lot of damage all along the way. A neighbour had heard while they where rolling it down, and then quickly called her husband who works next door to a Police station, the Police where already there when my Aunty got home. They had cute the lock open and opened the electric gate to drive there car in, the neighbour said there where three of them. Unfortunately we aren't going to get any of the money back because it isn't covered with the insurance. Only upside a family friend who just went back to Malaysia the other day had brought some money over for my 2 Uncles, $3000 AUD and $1000 AUD that my Aunty hadn't had the chance yet to put into the safe, they didn't find that which she had stashed between clothes, those they made a mess going through all the clothes checking their pockets.. Kind of scary, another uncles guard dog was poisoned a little while ago too.
Oh then as my Dad change the water in the fish tank he forgot about it and it overflowed and we quickly had to mop it up before it wreaked the floorboards.
And now i'm in a really bad mood because my Mum is a computer no0b. She wanted me to send the photos of the damage to my uncle, who said he could see the file transfer files. So I cancelled them all and was going to send via another method, and then she kept hassling me about it when I was already doing it. Dude our internet is not that fast, I even used my phone to send them, but it kept disconnecting and reconnecting.
