The time I was felling nostalgic

I'm trying to get ideas for a new LJ layout and I'm going through my old stuff and I feel all nostalgic. I wish I was back there when I first starting making stuff and my muse never seemed to end. Seeing all these awesome old layouts I had and absolutely loved make me think what was the last thing I made the I adored. Sure there's some stuff I was really happy with (ie this Gaspard icon, and my last Dramione and Sark wallpaper, I never post anything I hate, and there's half finished things that will never see the light of day). But there's hasn't been anything "big", like wallpaper, or banner wise.
I just want it to be like it use to be, back when I made blends for competitions and didn't find them pointless because they couldn't be used for a layout or wallpaper. I'm not sure what happened, did I lose interest? I don't think so. Is it because I stopped going to graphic forums and therefore my inspiration (I often see someone awesome graphic and inspires me to make something too)? Maybe. Did I just have no time? Probably. Did my usually subject (David Anders) disappear and I run out of photos to turn into graphics? Very likely.
It's so frustrating, because I really want to make awesome stuff like I use too, but I just can't. I've probably made a total of 3-4 wallpapers in the past few years, I use to make that amount in a few months. I just hope my new found Gaspard love brings me out of this... rut.
Hell you all probably don't care, If I hate my graphics I'd hate to think what you all think of it. I don't think I've made anyone go "wow" in a long long time. Oh here are probably my top 3 favourite layouts I created for Rendezv0us.

I love the the banner was on the side on this layout, it was a happy accident when I was playing around with brushes.

This one I spent ages on, I wasn't happy with the colouring of the banner, and spent hours getting it right till the point I was happy. I think I love it because the "softness" of the blend.

I really loved the colouring and blending on this one. It was a bit recycled from this wallpaper I had made years before and I loved the colouring so much I later re-did the wallpaper and created this and entered it into the wallpaper competition help on David Anders' official site. 3-4 years later we still don't know who would have won the Season 3 DVD signed box set. The website just stopped getting updated by David's brother Jason and the eventually the site died and never came back. It doesn't help that the same bastards that stole davidanders.net domain name from under us, stole davidanders.com as well. Bastards are just sitting on it and putting adds on some generic page.
