DV-H! can exclusively reveal that David Anders (Alias) is in talks to play the mutant Angel in Director Matthew Vaughn’s X-Men 3 film!

So much for those "Angel is a girl!" rumors!

I'm currently working as a production assistant on a small film, ELI, starring David Anders, known to Alias fans as the enigmatic Mr. Julian Sark. Between takes, a crew member mentioned the name Matthew Vaughn, the director of Layer Cake and the upcoming X-Men 3. Anders looked over and said, "Yeah, I just auditioned for Angel a few days ago, totally nailed it." He followed this saying he's going to be meeting with Matthew Vaughn about the role soon, and that things look highly promising.

On an editorial note, this is fairly perfect casting. Anders expressed how impressed he was with the franchise so far, and his work as Julian Sark is fairly indicative that his Angel would be right on the money!

With Vinnie Jones and David Anders, this film looks to continue the X-Franchise tradition of casting awesome, interesting actors in iconic, interesting roles.

Stay tuned for an EXCLUSIVE interview with David Anders about his involvement with the new film!

David Anders, best known as the sneaky 'Sark' from TV's "Alias", is in talks to star in "X-Men 3".

Anders, whose character was written out of the Jennifer Garner starrer last season, is reportedly a hop, skip and a jump away from landing the role of the mutant, Angel, says Development Hell.

The actor is currently working on an Indy called "Eli", and let slip that he tested for the role a few days back - and that he's meeting with director Matthew Vaughn to discuss it further.

The character of Angel is merely one of several new characters being introduced into the franchise circa "X-Men 3".
