The time I wanted to buy Gaspard

bluebear_74OK It's really bugging me that VLC won't play "A Very Long Engagement". Well it plays, but the sub titles won't work. I'm using Media Player Classic, which I find I have to use when ever I want to watch a movie I need subtitles for because VLC doesn't seem to want them to work. So it means I can't make Gaspard screen caps along the way.
I've been eyeing this, if I get it along with The Last Day I can't get them both cheaper. I also want Jacquou le croquant (Hello?! Gaspard's naked butt and with a beard), only places I can find it are French Amazon and Ebay, I think I might get it's from the later.
Oh I totally want to see "Summer Things" (Embrassez qui vous voudrez) because who doesn't want to hear Gaspard say "A tuna bit my balls"? in French. I found a torrent, but I can't find the subs for it and I don't want to buy the DVD because I don't think he's in it much.

ETA: I found out what was wrong. The video codec I had only opened when I used Windows Media Player (and the classic version) and not for VLC, so I installed a new codec and all works now.
