Of Twilight, and Thoughts

bluebear_74So I finally got to see the Twilight movie this morning with my friends, it was raining too which is kind of fitting. Overall I liked the movie, though had I only seen the first half I would have hated it, the first half was also the half my friend and I laughed at (I swear their were others in the cinema too). I thought the first half was boring, but I get they had to get all that stuff over with. I also laughed at bits that weren't even funny because they were so damn cheesy (I let out a "Oh god" when SMeyer poped up). I enjoy the second half much better (I think I only laughed once or twice!). I loved all the Cullen's, though I wish there had been more of them, I loved when they cooked her dinner, I particularly liked Emmett's reasoning for Bella being Italian (that her name was Bella). I liked Bella's friends, they were actually interesting (much more so than the books). I also liked Charlie (and his pepper spray), and Jacob, he did "crush" good. I'll be sad to see Taylor go because I think he did a good job and he was so into the film (and getting ready for the next one), the only person I would forgive Summit for replacing Taylor is Steven Straight. It seems Summit are getting greedy and fucking everything up.
Oh I also really like the music they used for the movie. Using Rob's song during the dinner scene was weird to me because he was in the scene. I think it's because in LotR Liv Taylor sung a song for the movie but it she said it was never used because they thought it'd be weird because she was in the scene. In the end they used it in the extended movie. Though I really liked the use of his second song (Let Me Sign) where there were flashes of Bella and Edward, Supermassive Black Hole was used perfectly too, I really liked the whole baseball scene. Also I liked they put a bunch of scenes and shots they didn't use into the credits, I thought that was nice. Oh and I almost forgot, I like that they started with the preface, the sparkles bit wasn't as bad as I thought it'd be, and yes Edward looked like he wanted to eat her the whole time. The actors all did a good job though there were moments (particularly in the first half) that KStew and RPattz made me cringe a little.
I strangely want to watch the movie again after typing this. Though I don't think I'd pay to see it again, I'd just want to watch all the bits I liked.
