So I ended up going driving for the first time yesterday with my dad for about an hour. I was so nervous, but once I got behind the wheel it was ok. There weren't many cars just one or two now and then but because it was industrial area there were a few trucks picking stuff and dropping stuff down, at one point there was a police car and I freaked. I basically made consistent left turns and went around the same area.
I went out again for about an hour again and much to my horror my brother wanted to come too. I forgot to indicate a few times because he was talking to me about what to do and not to do so I wasn't paying fully attention. Now this is the REALLY embarrassing bit.
About 15-20 minutes into driving
Brother: [realises something] "LiYan don't you drive with a seatbelt?"
Me: "OH MY GOD!!" [stops the car]
Brother: "Don't stop the car in the middle of the road! Pull over!"
I could hear my dad laughing beside me, geez he's meant to remind these things!!
I can't believe I forgot to wear my seatbelt of all things! I'm just not use to it because I'm short so the seat has to be pulled over heaps so I have to really reach back and find the seatbelt. When I got home my brother told me mum and grandma and they started hysterically laughing. I did get to do a few right hand turns and go in an area I didn't go yesterday, went past my cousin work (TNT) I think it might be dropping by after work to pick up his Jay Chou CD which came in the mail today with all my brother Twins stuff. The Twins album looks real pretty.
