bluebear_74Today I was once reminded why I hate public transport. I've had a horrible morning so far, why?
1. I had to walk to Hallam station because my brother is going to temporally work at a pasta factory a friend of the family works at till he finds a more IT orientated job.
2. When I get there I learn the train just left Pakenham station and therefore will be about 10 minutes late.
3. When the train does come its absolutely pack! Like barely any room to stand packed, and it just kept getting more and more packed as we went down the line. I had to push my way out of the train.
4. Because the train was late I missed the first bus and had to catch the second which in theory gets me 10 minutes before class starts, however this was not the case. The bus was also late 10 minutes because of the damn boom gates. It was broken at first and only one side would come up, so after awhile a bus driver ran out and fixed the gate, but the 30 seconds later it just came down again, and this time it was for awhile too, I think about 4 trains passed. Boom gates finally came up and everyone at the stop was all like "FINALLY!", two cars go pass and the gates go down again, they go up again and our bus it just about to cross and the go down AGAIN! Then the bus crossed, the gates actually went down again just as I was getting on.
Ended getting to class about 10 minutes late, but I guess that wasn't so bad, I still managed to finish all my work.
Lets all hope LiYan's day goes much much better, though I'll probably have to stand on the bus and train because I finish at 4PM around peek hour.
The kid that did the Opening Ceremony was on Rove Live last night, very amusing.
Rove: "So how was it like when you went to school the next day?"
Sean: "its school holidays"
Rove: "..."
and
Rove: "So did you get to watch the rest of the Opening Ceremony?"
Sean: "Funny thing that, you know how the athletes were throwing the glow sticks? I caught one and threw it back and it hit one of them on the head".
OT- I'm hungry and I can't eat in this room at uni.
